Contact Free Insulation Loft
The quickest way to reach us is the form on this page. If you want quotes, say what you need and your postcode; we pass your enquiry to relevant independent firms, who contact you directly.
If you are writing about something on this site — a correction, a source you think is out of date, or a complaint — use the same form and say so in the message. We read every one and correct errors.
What we can and cannot help with
We can point you to the right scheme page, correct something we have got wrong, and pass a loft insulation enquiry to independent firms covering your postcode. We cannot tell you whether ECO4, your council or a devolved scheme will fund your loft: only the scheme, the council or the energy supplier decides that. For eligibility, the one-minute checker on who qualifies gives you an indicative answer without sending any details.
- Scheme or eligibility question: start with the schemes page or the FAQs.
- Worried an offer is not genuine: read myths and scams, then contact your council or the named energy supplier directly.
- Want quotes: use the form below with your postcode and what is in the loft now. Firms contact you; you decide, with no obligation.
Corrections and out-of-date schemes
Loft insulation funding changes often. The Great British Insulation Scheme closed on 31 March 2026, ECO4 ends on 31 December 2026, and the Warm Homes Plan will reshape low-income support from 2027/28. If you see a date, threshold or saving on this site that no longer matches the official source, tell us which page and, if you can, the source you are looking at. We re-read the primary source (GOV.UK, Ofgem, HMRC, the devolved governments or the Energy Saving Trust) before changing anything, and we update the "checked" date on the page when we do.
Suggestions are welcome too. If there is a loft question you could not find answered here, whether about boarding over old insulation, what a surveyor meant by "cold bridging", or how a council LA Flex declaration works in practice, send it in. Questions readers ask are how we decide which guide to write next, and a well-described problem (house type, what is in the loft, which scheme you tried) gets a more useful reply than a one-line question.
We cannot resolve a complaint about an installer. For work done under a government scheme, GOV.UK says to contact the installer or the company that guaranteed the work first, and Citizens Advice if the problem is not solved.
